What would Cape Town be without its stunning beaches? Scarborough, Witsand and Misty Cliffs don’t disappoint in this department either, especially when the sun slowly sinks into the sea at day’s end. There are long, white beaches with few footprints, so get out there and enjoy a revitalising walk or see if you can spot some of the region’s seabirds.
These three beaches are also ideally suited to bodyboarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing. Anglers will find many tempting spots to cast their lines, but ensure that you have a permit, because this part of Cape Town’s coast falls within a marine protected area.
